Thank you to everybody that came to Wax Museum today. Students put in a great deal of work, and it really paid off this morning! I was very impressed and proud of their presentations. We had a fun last full week of school, filled with many fun events and activities. We went outdoors for Math early in the week, and did a scavenger hunt, where they had to use many of the concepts learned this year to find the clues. Students also were given a budget, and had to plan a trip to Orlando without going over their budget. We finished our force and motion unit in Science, with the final project being building rollercoasters. After they built their coasters, we tested them. We finished our book about sea turtles in Reading, along with finalizing our Wax Museum projects. We went to the STEM lab this morning, where students got to use Ipads to program robots to talk, and move in different patterns. It was really neat! We ended the week with our fact fluency Boot Camp Party, where students got to enjoy a movie and treats. Just a heads up that I will be sending home a summer packet with the students next week to help them keep concepts learned this year fresh over the summer, and will help them be prepared for 5th grade! Also, don’t forget about the TES library being open from 11:30-12:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is the perfect way to keep reading over the summer, which I encourage! I am sending home 4th quarter behavior standards today, so you will be able to see if your child made Triple A. If they made Triple A, a pink note is attached to their behavior standards. The note explains that we will be going to Chieftain Park from 12:45-2:45 on Monday afternoon. If for any reason you would need to get your child early from school, you will have to contact the office to get permission to take them from the park. I am sending home a newsletter today as well, with the schedule of next week’s events listed. We will have a pajama day on Tuesday to celebrate the students’ hard work on state assessments! We will also be attending the End of the Year Assembly Tuesday as well. Wednesday is the last day of school, and it is a half day! We will do a yearbook signing that day, if students want to have their yearbook signed. They will also have autograph books that they make next week, if you would prefer their yearbook not be written in. Lunch on the last day will be from 10:33-10:58. I want to thank all of you for entrusting your children with me this year. It has been a great year, and I will miss this great group of students. I thank you for all of your support as well! As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about anything. Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Schrant
